Posada de Puruay is located in the middle of the countryside of Cajamarca, 2760 meters over the sea level. Its location at the green foot of a hill in which animals such as cows, sheep and horses graze, offers a wonderful view.
Early in the morning, sunlight filters through the eucalyptus forest that surrounds the colonial house, forming abstract shapes on the colourful gardens. All this turns into a delighting picture.
The average temperature in the area is 15 degrees Celsius. Two seasons dominates the year; the dry season reaching from April until November and the rain season starting in December and ending in March.

City of Cajamarca:

Cajamarca is located 10 minutes by car from the posada. Houses with white walls and tile roofs are characteristic for Cajamarca.
