We
are the Regalado family. Our family is represented by my husband
Manuel, my 3 children; Marco, María Pía and Malú,
and I Nora Y. Regalado. For 35 years, we have been private businessmen
in the metal and mechanic sector. We bought this property in
1996 with the colonial house in ruins and used the land only
for stock raising. In the beginning we thought about creating
a calm resting place for the family, but at the end we saw the
beauty of the place and decided to open it for the public. I
live here all year around together with my 9 years old daughter
Malú.

During
3 years, and under the supervision of Eng. Manuel García
Yalta, professor of agronomy faculty at the university of Cajamarca,
we worked hard to recover the gardens, parks, forests and lands.
Nowadays we try to recover Andean nutriment and medical plants,
which have been forgotten.
The
recuperation-work of the colonial house was a huge job and started
with removing the fillings of the walls and excavation inside
and outside the house in order to find the original base and
walls.
The reconstruction lasted 2 ½ years under my direction
and in coordination with Civil Eng. José Rivera Lavado
and architect Luis Wharton.

The investment has been huge, but with a final result even bigger,
it fills us with pride and happiness. We have reconstructed
an old Andean paradise in which we live happily and healthy
in harmony with the nature. It is a place, which has taught
us to enjoy the beauty of the flowers, the plants and the bird's
song. We have learned how to live an ecologic life and with
respect to the nature, which gives us a life in harmony and
peace.
You
are very welcome to our posada, the resting place for your body
and soul.
