With "Plaza de Armas" (the central square) the centre of Cajamarca as the starting point, take the "Jr. Amalia Puga" road at the church side (5th block), go straight ahead until the end, on the way the street changes name to "Jr. Puno", at the end of the 2nd block turn to the right and enter "Jr. Arróspide de Loyola" at the 3rd block. At the end of this block turn left and enter "Av. Angamos" (main road to "Porcón Hualgayoc") and continue on this road for about 10 to 20 minutes until Km. 4.5.

When you pass the sign "Huambocancha" you'll find a big sign on your right painted on a white house which says "Posada de Puruay" that indicates the road to be taken.

After crossing the bridge you'll find the posada entrance to the right.

During the day it is possible to see the brick-red posada from the road, while during the night, its lights will show you the way.
