The
XVIII century styled decoration brings a special atmosphere
to the old colonial house. All paintings are originals, painted
by Peruvian painters from different epochs and the wooden frames
made by local artists from Ayacucho, famous for its wooden art
work.
|
A lot of religious paintings with gold plated frames aging back
to the early days of the republic adorn the rooms. Over the
beds hang giant old wooden rose wreaths, with a sober and impressing
design carried out by the owners. The most impressing pieces
in the rooms are the enormous wooden wardrobes with mirrors
and sculptured details, which date from the colonial epoch to
the middle of the XVIII century.

We
have, by combining the antiques and the recent furnishing, created
a nostalgic old style to the rooms.
All our lamps have also been made especially for our posada in
Oregon pine with an aged and burned patina.
